Practicing psychotherapy has been a happy passion of mine for several years. It's exciting to see clients work toward their goals in their own way, overcome obstacles, and make steps toward getting what they want.
My approach is eclectic, collaborative, and catered toward each individual. I often like to incorporate solution focused, narrative, and Rogerian Humanistic orientations. I've had the pleasure of working with a diverse group of people with various backgrounds and stories and have been impressed by their resilience, humanity, and capacity to change. Some of my clients have battled depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and childhood trauma. I've helped preteens and adolescents improve their self esteem and performance in school. In addition, I enjoy collaborating with introverted, socially anxious, and highly sensitive people on embracing their unique strengths and navigating the social world.
Sometimes therapy is a lovely way of discovering you are not as weird as you thought you were. And problems, once shared and examined, can seem less catastrophic. If you're feeling stuck or stressed out, want to reshape your life, or need to unload pain and grief in a safe place, talking to a therapist may help.
