We call therapy "The Lonely Profession" because most of our time is spent with ourselves and our clients, exploring their inner worlds and maintaining confidentiality. Transitioning into private or group practice comes with its own slew of pressures and expectations that many of us may feel unprepared for. Thus, having a container wherein we can come together and connect over our shared experiences becomes invaluable to our professional journeys. This group meets twice monthly: one session will be focused on providing support, informal consultation, and group discussions, the other will be a brainstorming and resource-sharing session designed to help you build your business as an associate. In this group, we discuss everything from building ideal client profiles, marketing strategies, lead generation, referral best practices, exam prep, and supervision to resource sharing, tracking hours, licensure requirements, and continuing education.
